Year Six Camp - Day Three

Look at that whopper!

Cabin inspections this morning provided an interesting insight into the independence and organisation skills of our students.  Though some of the groups had immaculately presented cabins (complete with artfully arranges accessories), others needed very specific tips (seriously boys, wet towels don't go in your suitcase!).

Day three at the camp focussed on cooperation and teamwork, with both groups participating in the fishing and raft building challenges.  Despite many nibbles, there was only one fish caught and April was extremely proud to be the angler who caught it.

In the team challenge, students built rafts from drums, tarps and rope.  The rafts then had to be navigated around several bouys.  Though the rafts were barely seaworthy, it was wonderful to see students learning how to be a good team member, communicate effectively, and develop the confidence to try something new.
