Year 7 camp 2011

Year 7 camp

On Friday 12 August, year 7 students from Bray Park State School departed by bus for a week of intensive learning at Tallebudgera Beach School.

This camp offers a range of programs that encourage students to develop skills through immersion in quality outdoor education. Teamwork and learning challenges were presented with exciting and fun activities such as body boarding/surf awareness, canoeing, tobogganing, beach games and a mountain walk.

Our year 7 students were encouraged to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of the environment and sustainable practises. The school camp promoted the development of the individual through the school motto: The 4 Cs – cooperation, consideration, courtesy and common sense – to promote personal responsibility.

A day was spent at SeaWorld where the students viewed dolphin and seal shows and interacted with creatures of the sea. Not to mention the enjoyment of seeing their friends on the various rides!

All in all the week was filled with fun, adventure and self-discovery.
