Remembrance at St Nicholas

St Nicholas students at their memorial garden.

Dear Bray Park,

Just a short message to let you know that we took your beautiful wreaths to our memorial garden on Tuesday and would like to extend our thanks to the Servicemen who helped get them to us again.  We love the gift of the newspaper showing your new memorial plaque and the wreaths laid there, it gave us a real connection and closer link.  The children in my class found out about local boys from our village of Cottesmore, who went off to the Great War and who are also remembered on a memorial in the village.  The one thing that seems to really hit them is that many of the fallen were so young, not much older than ourselves.

We are also looking after your gift of cousin SARARA, she is learning lots about our school.

Many thanks,

Helen Ray (Class Teacher, St Nicholas Primary School)
