6C News

6C have been working very hard since the beginning of term.  We have been actively engaging in Guided Reading, literacy rotations, and maths investigations.  In visual arts we have been exploring line, colour, texture and shape through observational drawings, and learning about complementary and monochromatic colour schemes.  We have also been learning how to draw our own zen-tangle using mathematics involving measurement, angles, and 2D & 3D shapes .  In science our focus this term has been on micro-organisms, and we have been learning about the role of yeast in bread.  During Weeks 4 and 5, we had baby Sarara visit the classroom and she worked very hard with us, especially during maths.  We played outdoor games to do team building so we can work better together as a class group.  Mrs Fitzgerald says she's been very happy with our start to the year, and how well we are learning, working together and engaging in school life.
