3A Newsletter

Term 2 is coming to a close and the students of 3A cannot believe how fast the year is passing. This is because we have been engaged with all aspects of school life. Not only the 3Rs, but comparing the past with the present in History and investigating Heat in Science. There were lots of laughs and squeals with experiments like, ‘How long does it take for an ice cube to melt in the palm of your hand?’
This active class loved running the senior cross country course. They can’t wait to experience their first upper school athletics carnival.  Everyone enjoyed painting their masterpieces for Art In The Park and survived their first NAPLAN testing.
We are looking forward to a very successful Semester 2. The students are also excited about the next stage of their learning. In English we have already begun unpacking the steps to write a good procedure and then we will create picture book narratives based on traditional stories. Geography will require careful research and reporting on Australia and her neighbours. Night and Day is the title of our science unit and 3A astronauts are investigating and making predictions related to our solar system.
I am impressed with the progress everyone in 3A is making and I know each student will achieve their personal learning goals by listening, having a go and engaging with the curriculum.
