1B Heart Art

19/07/2017
Last term Year 1B had been working on a multitude of activities.  Recently though, Year 1 learnt that “primary colours” are the three colours that all other colours are made from.
Most importantly Year 1 focused on the three primary colours including red, blue and yellow.
Year 1 then looked at art by Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) who was a famous Dutch painter.  He liked to use blocks of colour to make his artworks.

Year 1 then used black lines and primary colours to make artworks inspired by Piet Mondrian. Year 1B created our very own Mondrian Hearts.
On Friday afternoons Year 1B continued their exploration of line and how it can be used to create various creatures such as a grasshopper and a peacock.  This is our favourite time of the week!
