STUDENT “ACCEPTABLE USE INTERNET AGREEMENT”

I have read the following contract and agree that while using the Internet and email…

I WILL

· Use my Internet and e-mail access for educational purposes only

· Observe all copyright laws relating to computer software

· Respect the rights and privacy of other users

· Report obscene, offensive or inappropriate material I encounter

· Supply the appropriate personal details when using the Internet

· Report any security lapses that I may discover

· Use only software purchased and installed by the school at school

· Follow the rules for use and care of computer equipment

· Use the computers only under the direction and supervision of a teacher

I WILL NOT

· Attempt to retrieve, view any obscene, offensive, or illegal material

· Threaten, abuse or harass any other user

· Send offensive, racist or sexist messages

· Send anonymous or falsely addressed electronic mail

· Bring Bray Park State School into disrepute in any way whatsoever

· Allow anyone to use my account or give my password to anyone else

· Use another student’s account or tamper with their account in any way

· Download or print information without permission from a member of staff

· Use Internet for business purposes or for financial gain

· Attempt to change the system in any way

· Attempt to bypass security

· Disclose my home address, telephone number, credit card or PIN numbers

I realise that, if I do not abide by the above rules, my access rights to the Internet and email will be reviewed.

As a user of the Bray Park State School computer facilities, I agree to the above conditions.
